Hey guys! I’m Megan, the other half of the local blog Living Etown. My husband, Matt, helps on the digital platform and business side. We have two kids, Simms (12) and Evie (7) and a labradoodle Moo (3). Along with the running blog, I work full-time at the Novak Family Foundation in Louisville. I have the joy of administering our community impact grant program. We give grants throughout Kentucky in the areas of leadership development, hunger relief, early childhood education, juvenile diabetes, and military family support. I am so lucky to be able to do two things I love; with people I love.
Living Etown started as a way to serve our town. My heart was stirring to write and use my creativity when I moved back to Elizabethtown in 2015. After talking with my husband about some ways to write, this blog was born. We are so thankful to everyone who reads and connects with us on social media. It’s always been our heartbeat that this be a gift to our community, and in a small way to share all the wonderful things we love about this place we call home.
I grew up in Elizabethtown, and this place has always been dear to my heart. It’s where I learned to ride a bike, where I went to school and made the best of friends. It’s where I played on Central Hardin High School’s tennis and soccer team and even played a little basketball. I learned to swim here and took years of dance, plus where I learned to drive. It’s where I found faith and grew in so many other ways. And now, it’s where my family is learning to grow and thrive.
We want our little corner of the internet to be a place that helps people live, learn, and find a connection in this sweet town of ours. We hope that our followers feel a sense of connection and inspiration, and have fun along the way. We are grateful for everyone who helps us to truly live, learn, and belong in this great town. Follow and connect and live Etown along with us.
