Presented by Atria of Elizabethtown, Tails & Ta-Tas is a Breast Cancer Awareness 5K Run/Walk that takes place in Elizabethtown every year on the second Saturday of October. The event raises funds for the Hardin Memorial Health Foundation Cancer Resource Center and is composed of a dog-friendly 5k walk/run followed by a breast cancer survivor breakfast. The money raised has gone towards the cancer Resource Center itself through renovations and furniture, wigs for cancer patients, wig stands, programming for cancer patients and survivors, gas cards, cooling caps and other materials for cancer patients and survivors. The facility is supported by the community and resources are free to members of the community who are battling cancer.
