OUR FRIENDS AT FINE HOUSE & GARDEN TAKE US ON A TOUR OF THEIR SIGNATURE COLLECTED LOOK.
TIMELESS CRAFTSMANSHIP
In this front window vignette, the Lilah Sofa shows off its texture in the natural light. The American-made upholstery at FINE is available in-store or for custom order and represents their partnership with a 70-year Virginia Manufacturing tradition.
TEXTURE TELLS THE STORY
Because FINE tends to gravitate toward a well-blended, natural color story, incorporating textures seen throughout the shop - fabric, wood, paper, metal, stone - helps give a diverse hand to each space. Many friends of the shop find objects and furniture here that will live in the most high-traffic areas of their homes, allowing this special attention to texture to become a part of day-to-day life.
BEHIND THE SCENES
At FINE, each piece in the shop is carefully chosen by local founder Ange Deaton. This means the same perfectly imperfect character makes it way into everything from kitchenware to holiday decor to aspirational custom order furniture. The serving pieces below, for example, are produced from salvaged european building hardwoods, beautifully repurposed into a variety of gift-ready trivets and boards. The recycled glass cloche on top, now a FINE staple, is mouth-blown in Europe using the molds of reproduced antique demijohn bottles.
FINE DINING
For timeless dining pieces, FINE works closely with a family-owned maker of custom, heirloom-quality dining furniture in Quebec, available in the shop or for custom order.
