Have you heard about "The Eric & Joe Before Thanksgiving Christmas Variety Show?" Wait, you haven't? Well you're not alone. We're here to clue you in. The show takes place every year here right here in Elizabethtown. It really is a Christmas variety show that takes place before Thanksgiving featuring live sketches, a live house band led by Mark Melloan and funny videos.
This year marks the sixth annual installment of “The Eric and Joe Before Thanksgiving Christmas Variety Show." The family-friendly event was described by a local reporter as “a show full of absurd sketches, short films and dance routines.” You never know what you might see at the show, not to mention all the things that will never be unseen.
This event is a local fundraiser for worthwhile non-profits in our area. Last year alone, in conjunction with local non-profit Give270, The Eric and Joe show presented a check for $7,000 to a Mission Hope For Kids, a local non-profit that helps to nurture and restore hope to at-risk children. This year, funds will go to Helping Hands of Hope’s Beds for Children program that provides mattresses to area children.
The Eric & Joe Show Before Thanksgiving Christmas Variety Show is taking place the weekend of November 22 through November 24 at the Historic State Theater. Friday and Saturday evening at 7:00pm; 5:00pm on Sunday. Tickets are available through their website at www.theericandjoeshow.com with General Admission for $15 or Very Important Person Tickets for $25.
